Too much work and T.S.E.

So for some reason I can't find the time to update my page. Oh wait a minute I figured out the reason, I'M AN OVERWORKED GRAD STUDENT! Right good thing I remembered. Yeah so I'm on the always-tired side of the grad student pendulum. Things are confusing right now but I'm trying my best. Every minute that I'm not writing up or reading a paper or fixing something in the lab feels like wasting time. Maybe it's the atmosphere, I don't know. Everyone seems a little frazzled these days. I quoted the end of The Hollow Men by T.S. Elliot to a friend today and they said I was "dark but intelligent". What does that mean? T.S. Elliot said it not me and well I'm just being thoughtful. :)


So I'm giving myself exactly 120 seconds to update from this point on. I'm getting to know my flatmates better and I actually like them. One of them is an artist (a *real* artist). It is nice having a group of people to come home to - add a bit of balance sometimes. Except I hate sharing a bathroom. Everything else we can share - but a bathroom. Anyway. It is getting pretty cold here and I don't have any of my winter stuff with me - due to planning. Therefore I layer (Cgy style) between 5-6 layers worth of early fall stuff. Some people have told me I've gone soft compared to Prairie winters but I can't tell. I read about how The Bay might be bought over by an American business guy. I'm not a fan of this, I want The Bay to stay the way it is for a number of reasons and I don't like the uncertainty of a single foreign owner. The Bay is older than Canada, neat. I made thin sweet potato french fries today - they take longer to make however. I also made turmeric chicken and brown basmati rice. However I'm still yearning for something on the food front. Okay enough chit chat, time's up.
